Description

It is no longer enough for translators and interpreters to rely solely on their linguistic competence. In our contemporary information-based world, a successful T/I professional requires research skills, information processing skills and a few specialist IT skills. There is a direct relationship between information research skills and translation competence. NAATI considers it the third on its 2015 NAATI Translator Certification Knowledge, Skills and Attributes list. The Webinar aims to address this skill set by exploring various research tools and strategies with the purpose of augmenting terminology and usage, building translation memories, as well as acquiring further skills through professional development and cultural competency in a timely and organised manner. Webinar length: 1:16.
