The AUSIT QLD team proudly offers a 4-part Business series to be conducted online. The Business Series will consist of 1 webinar per month for the upcoming 4 months. Each presentation within the series will be given by a specialist in that topic.

The webinar "Tax Matters" is the first webinar in this series.

It’s that time of year again, where we turn our minds to all things tax. With the end of the financial year past approaching, reviewing your tax affairs ahead of time has never been more important. And being on top of all the new developments is vital to getting the best tax outcome.

The webinar will cover a range of individual tax matters including
1. Claiming deductions
2. Record keeping
3. GST registration, BAS and Invoicing
4. Resident and non-resident for tax purpose
5. Contractor v Employee
6. Superannuation Guarantee Charge
7. Business Structures

With extensive experience in accounting, tax, and business advisory. Thon works with clients ranging from start up ventures, local SME’s right up to listed multinationals. His services to these clients go beyond the required compliance activities, with an in-depth understanding of their business and industry allowing Thon to provide more meaningful advice on a variety of financial management, business and taxation matters.

This deep understanding of client’s affairs also provides a stronger base to assist clients with cash flow forecasting, 3 way modelling and other management reporting requirements to assist them in building successful businesses.

Thon is currently in process of attaining his Chartered Accountant qualifications. He has a Bachelor of Business in Accounting and economic policy from University of Tasmania. Thon has previously held roles with Pitcher Partners, Collins SBA and Horizon accountant.
