Qld Branch is celebrating the International Translators Day

at Southbank in Brisbane

Dear colleague,

Join us for a walk along Southbank to celebrate International Translators Day. We will start out at Picnic Island Green and walk towards Kangaroo Point before heading back for a bite to eat at Picnic Island Green, a green space with picnic tables within the Southbank precinct. You may wish to bring a picnic lunch or purchase something at one of the many takeaway eateries nearby.

We will meet at Picnic Island Green in Southbank at 11:00 am to begin our walk. This area is close to the Maritime Museum within the Southbank Parklands. We have chosen this spot as a starting point so you can leave bags and picnic rugs there for later on. We will walk to Kangaroo Point, or as far as you like, and then meet again at Picnic Island Green to share some food. There are picnic tables here, and many eateries are close by to purchase food.

Please bring a picnic rug, a cap, a bottle of water, and sunscreen. Partners, kids, and colleagues are welcome. Feel free to bring your furry friend as pets on a leash are permitted in the area.
