(Short course)
Saturday 29 February 2020

One-day face-to-face training program

The Translation and Interpreting Studies program at Monash University will deliver a 1-day short course interpreting training in Brisbane in February 2020.

The training program is underpinned by our experience in providing professional development training for interpreters and translators in Victoria, and consist of a one-day, face-to-face program combining materials and resources used in our existing short course ‘Interpreters working in Family Violence interactions’ as well as featuring local guest speakers who work in the area of Family Violence from any of the respective fields: practising interpreters, social workers, lawyers or healthcare practitioners .

Participants will be able to attend this training at a reduced cost, members of translation and interpreting associations (AUSIT, ASLIA, WAITI, IPIA) and current T&I students will receive a 10% additional discount.

Successful participants will receive an electronic certificate of completion and be eligible to earn 20 NAATI PD points towards recertification (Section 1.4 of the NAATI Recertification Professional Development Catalogue).

The PD Interstate Project was developed with the support of the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters (NAATI) through its NAATI Industry Development Fund.
