Congress Rental have said:

“We would like to offer to provide training on our Remote Interpretation Platform (RSI) for AUSIT members. We are getting traction for RSI and we are using overseas based interpreters as they are the ones coming to us requesting partnerships. This seems a shame when we have our own industry in Australia that we would like to be supporting.”

This webinar will provide a detailed look into the hardware and software requirements to successfully provide remote simultaneous interpretation for meetings and events, anywhere in the world. This will include an in-depth look at some of the features of Congress Rental’s remote simultaneous platform, as well as the support tools that are in place to allow you to focus on interpreting and not the technology.

Pre-Reading

After registration you will be provided with technical specifications for Interpreters wanting to undertake RSI. This needs to be read and understood prior to the webinar.

You will also receive a link to the Audience app. You will need to download this prior to the webinar.

Topics to be covered include:
  • Remote Simultaneous Interpretation (RSI) best practices
  • Hardware requirements
  • Comparison of dedicated RSI solutions vs general video conference software
  • In-depth look at dedicated RSI functions
  • Detailed look at the Interpreter Interface with specific attention to partner handover
  • Outline of interpreter live support process and functions

In a follow up session, you will get hands on use of the Interpreter Interface, working in a test environment with your peers to understand and demonstrate the relay functions and partner handover

Presenter

Sebastian Ennis manages sales operations in Australia and is based in our Sydney office. Now with Congress Rental for over six years, he has managed many major interpretation projects, from small dialogues to G20, APEC and ASEAN.
