A fun picnic for language professionals and their friends and family!

Although 2020 has been a tumultuous year, there is one thing that you can count on: language professionals letting their hair down for an AUSIT ACT end-of-year event.

The committee has missed seeing you, so please come along to the Latin American Cultural Centre with your friends and family on Saturday 5 December 2020.  We'll catch up on all your news and tell you a bit about what we're planning for 2021 :)

Even if you can only make a part of the picnic, we'd love to see you - please stop in and say hello.

This event will be hosted by the ACT branch of the Australian Institute of Interpreters and Translators (AUSIT).  AUSIT is committed to providing a forum for exchange, fostering the development of professional relationships with fellow translators & interpreters, agencies and language service users, government departments, tertiary institutions and other industry stakeholders, and promoting ethics and quality standards through the industry.

Parking information:

There is parking near Red Hill Primary School and the French Australian Pre-school, which are on the opposite side of the street to the Cultural Centre.  The red marker on the map below is the Latin American Cultural Centre.

Special precautions:

We will be taking a few precautions, as it is expected that the ACT will still be responding to the threat posed by COVID-19:

• We ask that members REGISTER for this free event.
• Participants are asked to bring their own food, drink, and eating utensils.
• We will ask all participants to sign in when they arrive on the day and confirm that they are not showing symptoms / have not been to a COVID-19 hotspot
• AUSIT ACT will regretfully cancel the event if we feel that there is risk to participants' health and safety.
