Teams will answer general knowledge questions relating to translation, interpreting, AUSIT, language and culture
The AUSIT ACT committee is excited to run a repeat of the 2019 trivia night, which saw language professionals battle it out for glory and language fame.
There is no required knowledge or experience for this event. Please come along to see your colleagues and grab a drink and meal – if nothing else, you are bound to learn new facts and enjoy the friendly competition.
Note that there will be a round on AUSIT (the Code of Ethics, branch committee positions etc), so you can study up a bit on those if you want to prepare.
Numbers are limited to 28. Member's may invite one (1) Guest but you must register and pay for both of you online to ensure your registration is confirmed as we are unable to take payment from walk-ins on the night nor contravene COVID-19 restrictions.

This venue has been selected due to its adaptability during the ACT’s response to COVID-19. We do want to apologise that it is not very accessible for people with mobility requirements.
If you are someone who requires assistance or support with stairs, please get in touch with the organising committee, as we want to find a solution and include you in the event.
Public Transport information
Find a bus or tram here - if there is not a direct route to Braddon, it is not far from Civic Interchange.
Parking information
Parking can be difficult on Lonsdale St on a Saturday night, but there might be free parking on other streets in Braddon. There is paid parking in Canberra city centre.
Special COVID precautions
This event is subject to the ACT remaining free of COVID-19. If you feel unwell in the lead-up to the event, or visit somewhere that is declared a hotspot, please email the ACT Committee and withdraw. Keep an eye on COVID-19 updates here.
This is a live in-person event and WILL NOT be recorded.
