AUSIT ACT - Online Networking Event - Catch up and talk Ethics with your ACT Colleagues

AUSIT ACT Branch is inviting you to participate in our Online Networking event.  

This is a great opportunity to meet fellow translators and interpreters and introduce yourself.  as well as networking and catching up with friends and colleagues, you will have the chance to give your feedback about what you would love to see in the updated AUSIT Code of Ethics.

Part 1

This event is planned as an online networking event. In the event that restrictions ease significantly by early November, the committee will consider an outdoor in-person meeting.

This online catch-up will be facilitated by the set of questions sent in advance to all the participants. Depending on number of participants, the event will be conducted in one of these ways:

a)  If less than 20 participants - Each participant will be asked to present themselves in their preferred manner (e. g. talk for up to 1 min.; show the pictures related to themselves and engage the audience; ask the audience to guess which of their statements are true and which ones are false, etc.).

b)  If more than 20 participants - Participants will have the opportunity to break into groups of 5-6 and present themselves as stated above and further explore who their fellow colleagues are talking about their interests, aspirations, professional or private topics, etc.


Part 2

This will be the opportunity to discuss the AUSIT Code of Ethics as AUSIT is reviewing and updating it at the national level.  ACT Members will be invited to raise ideas and think about what they might like to see in future versions of the Code.

Please feel free to attend for part of the event - no pressure to sign up for the full time.  We would love to see as many of our members as possible.
