AUSIT's QLD Branch presents Linguists and the Law: A practical seminar for T/I practitioners.
If you have missed AUSIT National President Angelo Berbotto's interactive presentation during the 2022 AUSIT Conference, here is your last opportunity to attend this not-to-be-missed event.
In this interactive 2-hour, face-to-face seminar, open to AUSIT members and non-members, the speaker will use practical examples taken from Australian court decisions to illustrate the operation of the Law in the work of T/I and, in particular, dilemmas encountered by practitioners in the course of assignments.
Come, learn, reconnect with colleagues, and share your insights!
Recommended reading prior to attending:
AUSIT’s Best Practices for the Translation of Official and Legal documents and
Recommended national standards for working with interpreters in courts and tribunals.
