Registrations close 11:59pm 10 June 2025
In this practical workshop, participants will learn about basic IT skills through an end-to-end process of preparing the translation of an official document (without actually translating), including:
- Downloading and saving a PDF document
- Converting a PDF document to a Word document
- Checking and changing formatting in Word
- Inserting headers and footers
- Inserting your NAATI digital stamp
- Inserting the source text into a Word document
- Converting a Word document to a PDF document
This workshop is designed for students and practitioners who:
- Have less confidence in the above-mentioned tasks
- Want to understand available functions in editing software such as Word
- Want to learn a CAT tool but are not confident of their IT skills
As this is designed to be a hands-on workshop where you can practise the above skills, it will be beneficial to have a device (e.g. a laptop) separate from the one you use to access the webinar unless you have multiple monitors set up.
To help us tailor this PD session for Translators, please take a moment to submit your questions for our presenter here so we can ensure that we cover the topic during the workshop.
