You are warmly invited to join the AUSIT Tasmania branch for an in-person, members only, meet and greet for 2025.

Please join us for this special event, with a presentation provided by AUSIT National President, Carl Fordham. Carl will lead a discussion on:

• Upcoming Vote on AUSIT’s FIT Membership
• AUSIT’s Position on the NAATI LSP Endorsement Model
• Guidelines for Safe Use of Artificial Intelligence
• AUSIT’s Joint Statement with Translators and Interpreters Australia (TIA)
• How National Council can better meet the needs of Tassie practitioners

Following our presentation will be a discussion about further events for the south of Tasmania branch members, networking and a free lite lunch with coffee/tea for all attendees. 

Meet our Presenter - Carl Fordham
Carl Gene Fordham is a NAATI-certified Chinese translator and Mandarin interpreter who specialises in forensic translation and court interpreting. Carl also serves as the National President of the Australian Institute of Interpreters & Translators (AUSIT).
