AUSIT Victoria Branch invites you to attend our Annual Branch Meeting (ABM), which is being held pursuant to provisions of Section 6.1.2 of the Constitution, Section 5.2A of the By-Laws.
The ABM is a chance for language professionals in Victoria to come together, catch up, and hear about the year in review. In addition, current financial members will vote in the new Branch Committee and raise any matters of interest.
At this event, the Annual Student Excellence Awards are to be announced and presented during the ABM. A networking catch-up will follow at the conclusion of the ABM, and the VIC Branch is pleased to be able to shout every in-person participant a tea or coffee immediately following the event.
You can register to participate and vote at our ABM either in-person or online via Zoom. The Zoom link will be sent to registrants two days before the event.
AUSIT members are able to claim 10 PD points in section C.6 for participating in the AGM.

Election of Branch Committee Members
Election of the committee for the new financial year takes place at each ABM and we would love to hear from members who are thinking about joining the Branch Committee and make an active contribution to AUSIT. From 2026, Committee positions are elected in for a 3 year term before standing for re-election at the end of the 3 years. This year, we are actively recruiting for the following roles:
VIC Branch Committee Chair
VIC Branch Committee Professional Development Coordinator
VIC Branch Committee Treasurer
VIC Branch Committee Secretary
VIC Branch Committee Membership Liaison Officer
VIC Branch Committee Communications Officer
VIC Branch Representative to National Council
VIC Branch Committee Ordinary Committee Members
There is no maximum limit on the number of members in the committee.
Volunteering at AUSIT
Joining the committee is one of the few ways to contribute to AUSIT and the profession. Whether you are prepared for longer term commitment or only interested in specific areas, we encourage you to send us an expression of interest which you can complete online here.
After completing this questionnaire, AUSIT Victoria Branch is prepared to organise a few small group, informal discussions with interested individuals to discuss volunteering opportunities. Alternatively, please feel free to contact us at vic@ausit.org.
If you wish to nominate yourself for one of the positions, please review the AUSIT Branch Committee Position Descriptions at the link below and email your area of interest and phone number to the VIC Branch Secretary at vic@ausit.org by COB Thursday 1 October 2026. A digital nomination form will then sent to you by our Proposer and Seconder.’
If you are unable to attend the meeting and wish for someone to vote on your behalf, please complete and return the Proxy Form (UPDATE FORM). These forms need to be returned to vic@ausit.org by COB Thursday 1 October 2026.
