Saturday 30 September is International Translators’ Day!
To celebrate this special occasion for our profession, AUSIT’s ACT branch committee is inviting you to join us for a ‘walk and talk’ and picnic at the National Arboretum (access off the Tuggeranong Parkway, just west of the Glenloch Interchange). Family and friends are welcome as well!
We’ll be meeting near the entrance to the main Arboretum building from 11:00, then doing an easy 20-minute walk up to Dairy Farmers Hill to enjoy the views of Canberra and Lake Burley Griffin. Back down at the main centre, you can enjoy the display of bonsai plants and the informative displays inside the centre.
Bring your own picnic spread, or you can buy food and drink from the cafe, then we can enjoy lunch together and a chance to chat and share experiences with your colleagues.
You may already know that the National PD Committee will be conducting a special ITD webinar from 14:00 to 16:00, and you’re encouraged to join us at the NAATI office (2 King Street, Deakin) for a joint viewing of this webinar. (You could just watch this at home, but why not watch with your colleagues?) We’ll keep a record of who attends this viewing at Deakin, so you can get the PD points.
So we know who’s coming, please register – using the button below – to indicate whether you’re attending:
• just the walk & talk at the Arboretum, or
• both the walk & talk and the webinar viewing, or
• just the webinar viewing at Deakin
So make a day of it on Saturday 30 September! We look forward to seeing you ...
